Overview

Santo Antão is arguably one of the most beautiful islands on the archipelago, and it definitely merits a visit. There is great hiking and trekking on these islands, with many footpaths. The main peaks are Tope de Coroa, Pico da Cruz and Guido do Cavaleiro. There is also pony trekking, and hand-gliding.
The beaches are lovely and picturesque, with the best coast for swimming located to the South of the island (the seas to the North can be rough and very windy).
